Does the above describe you? Then this might just be the place for you!
We support Sunway University in various ways — from publishing research to enhancing the teaching and learning process, and to bringing meaningful content to the community. If the university is the lighthouse that guides and shines the way for intellectual growth, then we are its light.
Why Join Us On Our Literary Quest?
- We are both contemporary and traditional
If you are considering between joining a young exciting company and venturing into something more conventional, why not have both? We offer the best of both worlds. Think of us as a new start-up nestled within a well-established institution. You get to immerse yourself in a start-up culture yet also enjoy the perks and benefits that only a big institution can offer.
- We promote learning, self-growth, and empowerment
We truly believe that learning is a lifelong process and that we become empowered the more we know. At Sunway, we offer many opportunities for learning and self-growth. Within the publishing house, you will get hands-on experience with the entire publication process and within the university, there are always training and workshops to attend. We grow together as a company and as individuals.
- We practise open communication and transparency
We don’t live in an Orwellian world and we don’t expect you to work in one. We encourage frank discussions and the sharing of knowledge and insights. We are transparent in our work and we know where we stand. We love people who are willing to speak their mind for we value feedback and constructive criticism.
- We value and prioritise work-life balance
To us, achieving work-life balance is not just dividing our time between work life and personal life. It means getting our job done without compromising our well-being. Our work life and personal life are not separate, they’re a harmonious integration which optimises our level of productivity at work.
- We work as a family (or just really good friends)
You don’t just gain colleagues, you make friends (and great ones too!). With a shared love for books and publishing, we form a close-knit team who support one another and look out for each other. Our differences make us complementary while our shared passion unites us.
We are a small but growing team with big ambitions and an even bigger passion for all things literature. We are always on the lookout for bookworms, wordsmiths and grammar wizards to join us.
We currently offer internships and freelance opportunities in Editorial, Sales & Marketing, and Design.
